Moonlight Sorcery – Nightwind: The Conqueror from the Stars

Finland’s Moonlight Sorcery  Unleash more Majestic Symphonies of the Nightside with new EP – “Nightwind: The Conqueror from the Stars

The EP starts the chilling, yet blistering  “Ancient Sword of Hate” that with along some great drum patterns has some absolutely wonderful guitar solos – a great start and early highlight track of the entire release.

“Yotuulten kutsu” forges on in very much the same path into longest track of the EP “Constellations” which throughout could easily be mistaken for an Yngwie Malmsteen creation,  it’s full on and remarkably  ambitious as this track is over seven minutes in length and is fully instrumental which you can’t only help but admire.

Finally “Black Moon’s Blood” thrusts the listener back into the familiar depts of the band’s highly successful debut “Piercing Through the Frozen Eternity

This EP has some undeniably great musicianship
